500 Mobile Collective Makes Its First Investment, Andy OS

500 Mobile Collective is excited to announce today that we have made our FIRST investment in Andy OS, the world’s first full featured mobile OS.

Imagine an OS that you can use no matter what device you’re computing on. With Andy OS you can choose the best devices to run your favorite games, chat or photo apps. Andy OS turns any hardware into a conduit for your mobile life.

Why Andy OS?

Since the launch in April 2014, Andy OS has grown quickly to 3 million users and 60% daily active users, all with zero marketing spend. Its users spend an average of 23 minutes per day, per session.

“Little to no app continuity exists between one billion Android and two billion desktop users today, and it’s a massive computing problem for consumers and developers” says Sean Murphy. “We can close this current mobile & desktop gap and eventually stream the entire OS to any device a person owns.”

Our super smart founders at Andy OS include:

Sean Murphy (co-founder and CEO) – was previously GM & SVP of CBS Interactive’s Download.com

Eyal Fishler (co-founder & CTO) – holds over 25 patents in the mobile space with the latest being an acoustic database compression technology. In addition to Andy OS,

Yossi Fishler (co-founder & COO) built the Fishler brother’s previous company, Mobile Tornado, to an IPO on the London stock exchange.

About Andy OS

Built on a unique virtualization technology, Andy OS is the world’s first mobile OS in the Cloud. Andy OS empowers a full featured and continuous experience for people using Android, by allowing all apps and features to work on any PC (Windows desktop, tablet, netbook, laptop, ultra-book, all in one and Mac desktop/laptop).  Andy OS can also be used as a virtual development platform, dramatically cutting down on the friction inherent in Android application development.
