This month, Indonesian startups make big waves on the global stage. FinAccel plans to go public in the United States in a US$2.5 billion deal, making it the first Indonesian tech startup and the first Southeast Asian fintech startup to do so. Earlier this month, Bukalapak shares soared 25% on its market debut, propelling it to becoming one of the top 15 biggest companies in its home country. Meanwhile, five 500-backed startups made deals totaling close to US$45 million through funding and acquisitions.
