Biola Alabi is dedicated to supporting African founders and fund managers to help build a sustainable African ecosystem. She is the founder of Grooming for Greatness, a mentoring and coaching nonprofit to support talented Africans at the beginning of their entrepreneurship journey. Biola is the Deputy Chair for the Lagos Angel Network and an investor and mentor at Technovision with the goal to support the African technology ecosystem. She recently joined Acasia Ventures, a fund dedicated to connecting North and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Lyubov Guk founded Blue Lake, an early-stage VC firm based in London investing in exceptional and overlooked immigrant founders with a particular focus on high-quality startups from Ukraine. In 2022, she launched the International Office Hours initiative, a network to connect immigrant founders and UK early-stage investors. The program has brought together 300+ startups and 60+ investors thus far.
Jamal Trotman invests in underrepresented founders and supports them at the earliest stages with the goal of increasing diversity in the startup space. He is working with Founder Institute to lead a cohort focused on supporting founders of color and women. Jamal also serves as a mentor for the Morehouse Entrepreneurship Center, where he helps to foster the next generation of founders in the Historically Black Colleges & Universities ecosystem.
Hector Ramos founded LatinxVC in 2019, a nonprofit aiming to increase diversity in venture capital and increase representation in VC. LatinxVC now runs a Fellowship Program, Mentorship Program, Emerging Manager Showcase, and various events bringing together over 100 GPs, LPs, and investors. Hector is dedicated to backing diverse entrepreneurs through his work at ICA, a nonprofit venture capital fund & CDFI, that runs accelerator programs and an Investment Fund to support diverse and women founders.
