Raising B for Mobility

• 500-backed green mobility insurtech company Laka raised a US$10.4M Series B led by Shift4Good and MS&AD Ventures.
• Known for their unique collective ‘no claim, no fee’ model, the new funding will support the team’s operations in nine EU markets and the UK, where they provide insurance for e-bikes, e-scooters, and other green mobility vehicles.
• The company is currently finalizing a debt deal in the coming months, which will fund their M&A strategy. In the past 18 months, they acquired Luko’s e-scooter portfolio (2025), CoverCloud’s bike insurance renewal rights (2024), and Cylantro (2023).
• Laka may seek to raise an additional extension round later in 2025 to bring onboard strategic investors.
• The team was recently recognized as one of the Top 50 startups in the European Startup Prize for Mobility (6th Edition).
