The Alberta Innovates Growth Program powered by 500 Global is a 5-week program designed to equip Alberta-based startups with the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to raise their Pre-Series A or Series A round.
Through personalized mentorship and growth-focused curriculum, you'll have the opportunity to refine your business strategy and build a solid foundation for scaling. You’ll also gain access to 500 Global's exclusive network of venture community members, partners, and industry leaders, empowering you to tackle your next funding round and lead your company through its next phase of growth.

Over the course of 5 weeks, founders will dive into an intensive, structured curriculum focused on growth strategies, fundraising preparation, and leadership development. You'll work closely with resident and visiting mentors from 500 Global’s network of world-class experts, who will provide hands-on guidance and champion your success.
Batch 1 of this program will welcome up to 10 high-growth Alberta-based startups, providing them with tailored support to address specific business challenges on their scaling journey.

This program runs for 5 weeks, with 1 week of mandatory in-person delivery and 4 weeks of hybrid delivery.

The program Fee for Phase 1 is $35,000 per startup, excluding travel expenses. This fee covers the comprehensive support, mentorship, and resources provided throughout Phase 1.

Kick off the program with a retreat focused on helping founders transition from operators to strategic CEOs. Get access to immersive, hands-on workshops and peer-driven exercises aimed at helping founders develop their leadership skills, and decision-making frameworks needed to scale their companies.

This three-day intensive helps founders refine their growth strategy, strengthen investor readiness, and optimize key business drivers. With guidance from top growth and fundraising mentors, founders will have the opportunity to sharpen their financial foundation and craft a compelling investor narrative. This phase culminates in a tailored action plan for founders to implement over the next four weeks, driving progress toward scaling and securing your next round.

This phase includes conference preparation, building investor and customer relationships, and converting leads into actionable opportunities. Founders will also refine their negotiation skills, strengthen their data room, finalize investor materials and aim to be fully prepared for fundraising. With 1:1 mentorship, hands-on sessions, and clear action steps, founders will be held accountable and leave with a toolkit empowering long-term success.

These events aim to provide the visibility and connections needed to help startups successfully raise their next funding round.
