The Georgia Startup Academy by 500 Global is designed for founders who want to transform promising ideas into startups. Over the course of this 12-month program, you will have the opportunity to gain access to a rigorous, structured pathway that helps you validate your idea, understand your market, build your MVP, refine your business model, as you look to enter both local and international markets with confidence.
Through hands-on mentorship, expert-led training, and exposure to potential customers and industry leaders, the program seeks to equip you with the knowledge, mindset, and tools needed to compete on an international stage. Whether you are building your prototype or preparing to grow, 500 Global aims to guide you through the essentials of company-building, and the critical milestones of your acceleration journey.

International Market Exploration
Gain exposure to international perspectives that prepare you to scale beyond Georgia. Build a product that is competitive in your target markets, backed by a network that has the potential to open doors across borders.
Every session across the three stages - Founder-Market Fit, MVP, and Market Entry - is designed such that you’re not just learning concepts, but immediately able to apply them to drive progress for your startup.
Startups advancing to Stage 2 and Stage 3 receive grants of GEL 50,000 and GEL 150,000* respectively from Georgia’s Innovation & Technology Agency (GITA), and opportunities to present at the final showcase.
This stage is designed to help founders refine their business concepts, understand market needs, and validate their startup ideas through structured mentorship and coaching. The duration of Stage 1 is 2 months, and up to 40 startups will be mentored.
Key Focus Areas for Stage 1:
At the end of this stage, the goal is that startups would have a validated problem-solution fit and a deeper understanding of their target market.
The program Fee for Phase 1 is $35,000 per startup, excluding travel expenses. This fee covers the comprehensive support, mentorship, and resources provided throughout Phase 1.
By completing Phase 1, startups is expected to gain valuable insights, refine their strategies, and make informed decisions for successful market expansion.
In this stage, startups focus on developing a functional MVP that can be tested in the market. The goal is to create a version of the product that provides enough value to attract early adopters and validate user needs. The duration of Stage 2 is 4 months, and up to 20 startups will be mentored.
Key Focus Areas for Stage 2:
Startups selected for this stage will receive a grant of GEL 50,000 from GITA*.
The program Fee for Phase 1 is $35,000 per startup, excluding travel expenses. This fee covers the comprehensive support, mentorship, and resources provided throughout Phase 1.
By completing Phase 1, startups is expected to gain valuable insights, refine their strategies, and make informed decisions for successful market expansion.
The final stage of the program is dedicated to helping startups enter the market, scale operations, and secure long-term business success. The duration of Stage 3 is 6 months, and up to 10 startups will be mentored.
Key Focus Areas for Stage 3:
Startups selected for this stage will receive a grant of GEL 150,000 from GITA*. Startups will also have the opportunity to showcase their innovations to the wider ecosystem that includes VCs, potential partners, and industry leaders at the final showcase for the potential to secure other growth opportunities.
The program Fee for Phase 1 is $35,000 per startup, excluding travel expenses. This fee covers the comprehensive support, mentorship, and resources provided throughout Phase 1.
By completing Phase 1, startups is expected to gain valuable insights, refine their strategies, and make informed decisions for successful market expansion.
